
Support for the environmental recovery and use planning project on the Bom Abrigo Island, south coast of São Paulo

The project aimed at the environmental recovery of the degraded areas of Ilha do Bom Abrigo, in addition to ordering the multiple existing uses. The activities developed were:

i) Diagnosis and mapping of the uses established on the Island, main activities and users; most used areas, frequency and intensity of use;

ii) Aquatic and terrestrial environmental diagnosis to assess the impact of human activities, as well as the potentials and risks for contemplative diving and tourist visitation;

iii) Environmental Recovery Project, aiming at the reforestation of the island's degraded areas;

iv) Participatory construction of the Ilha do Bom Abrigo Usage Plan , guidelines for the organization of the activities carried out based on conservation and environmental recovery.
