INITIATIVES
The Linha D'água Institute guides, supports and encourages organizations that wish to work collectively in the sustainable development of the coastal and marine system in Brazil. We do this collaboratively, providing knowledge, institutional articulations and financial support.
We have already navigated more than 50 projects since our foundation in 2013. In this trajectory, we support Community-based Tourism initiatives, self-training of fishermen and artisanal fishermen, research directed towards shared management in Conservation Units, construction of more democratic models and inclusive for visitation in protected areas, social participation in the construction of public policies for the coastal and marine areas and awareness of society for the conservation of sharks and rays.
